Happy Easter! I definitely can get with the belief that love is the most important thing, kindness, caring etc. The God I believe in must be a God of love, and I refuse to recognize the God of meanness, viciousness, and cruelty.
I just don't understand people hating each other over their differences, religious or otherwise. Seems like it is easier to love than hate. Although it seems that anger and hatred powers a lot of people every day.
Thanks for seeing the true meaning of Christianity, which should be love.
Happy Easter! After several years away, happily pagan, I went back to church this weekend because a friend was performing. I thought, "I don't agree with all of this, but everyone here has their own theological sticking point too. We're all trying our best to be hopeful and loving, so let's focus on that for 90 minutes." I'm just a sucker for a good brass quintet, okay?
Happy Easter! 🐣🐇🐰 I was raised Christian and every once in awhile I go to church. I definitely believe in some sort of greater power even tho’ I am of the school that Jesus was more of a “social justice warrior” than anything else. I believe in the love, unconditional love, for ourselves and for others. That’s why I would tell Trump if I ever met him, that people like me are stronger patriots than he is because we love our country unconditionally. We acknowledge and accept all of her flaws and will always do whatever we can to support her in becoming better.
Happy Easter, John! I have experienced the love and empathy that comes with forgiving someone. I wish I could get there with our current president, but I am just so angry at his cruelty and malevolence that I can't forgive...not yet. I will keep working on it.
Happy Easter, John! This post reflects on how so many of us feel in regards to Christianity. I'm so tired of having to explain I'm not one of 'them.'
