Lisa! I've been meaning to write you 'ere I received your lovely message the other day. I actually went to work EARLY today, so I could use one of my job's computers to write you on, but...oh my god, now I'm about to bore you about why I couldn't use any of the computers in the break room at my job today. So I'll spare you that. Anyway, I'm so glad you found me here, because you had asked about how Cat and I fared during the unbelievable hurricane down here, and I was going to say, "Actually, I've WRITTEN a bit about that," and direct you here. But you already found me here! So I'm so grateful for that. And, as ever, for you: I saw where you PAID for your subscription to my newsletter here, when you could just have easily gotten for free. Thus have I learned that you are today the same unbelievably generous and caring person that you were back in the practically Days of Yore when I knew you better. So wonderful to be in touch with you again.
You're a mensch! But you can't leave us in suspense about the Dude Wipes. I'm picturing a scene worthy of South Park where someone breaks wind and sets the alcohol wipe on fire.
That is SO FUNNY! I read this at work, while I was way up on this electric ladder thing, and I laughed so hard that A: Half the store looked up at me and B: I almost fell to my death. Would have totally been worth it, though.
But, no, I’m not going to tell you of my Dude Wipe incident. That’s between me, my neighbor from down the street, and the police when they interview me again about it next week.
So glad to read that you guys now have the ability to drink(water)again. I started thinking about all the plastic that has been created by all the water bottles and get the cringe. At any rate, you and so many others now have a new normal to learn to deal with.
Thanks for the update too about the money. So glad to have been able to help just a wee bit. That you seem to be back in good health with seemingly no bad aftereffects is also good news. Please give my best to Cat and say hello to my mountains for me please. Take care and keep writing.
I'm so glad someone on Facebook said you were okay and posting on your blog! Thinking of you, always.
