Hi Jendi. Yeah, I suppose we have been through a lot. Who hasn’t, right? Sometimes life is fun and easy, sometimes it’s really really not. I’ve been with Cat since I was 20; I’ll soon be 67. Stuff has definitely happened in those…however many years. It’s a trip. Hope you are well and feeling fine. Have you been posting stuff? Lemme go look.
You're so sweet, Paul. Thank you. (And you've been doing GREAT work on your Substack lately--well, as always. This is a really good medium for you, clearly. Your stuff is so INTERESTING, and you write so well. You're never hyperbolic or alarmist: you just . . . say the stuff, directly and clearly. And that makes it compelling.) Oh, and thanks for thoughts for my recovery. But do you know, this stuff happened tome almost six months ago now: it was DAYS before Helene hit at the end of last September. I'm 100% all better now. (But don't tell Dr. Deborah Vinall, above.)
I hope that you're both feeling better, and soon. It's tough sometimes to acknowledge that we need help or that we're not as strong as we think we are.
With everything that's happened and is still going on, it's definitely best to take care of yourselves and each other as best you can.
No profound words of wisdom, here, but lots of caring and sympathy.
Thanks, Margi. I'll tell Cat you said that. She'll appreciate it. (I love it when she writes anything. But, alas, writing isn't her primary art jam. She's an INSANELY gifted photographer.)
Your love for each other is beautiful. You've been through a lot.

Jendi: Give us the name of your novel, and a link to buy it. I want to read it. I know what a fine writer you are.
Cat is such a good writer, so much better than you John. 🥰
WHAT??!! Totally unacceptable comment.
I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK TO FIND OUT IF YOU LIVED OR DIED?!?!!!
I know! The suspense! It's killing even me! OR IS IT???
(What a totally funny comment, Deborah. Unlike SOME comments, JON.)
😂
I just hate to think of you so sick, John. May your recovery be swift.

I’m glad this is behind you. And thanks so much for your kind words. Your post had me very concerned, but it also had me laughing a lot.

Blessings, to both of you.
Ken, I don't think you could not offer profound words of wisdom if you tried. Thank you, friend, as always.
This is a wonderful story of love and grief. And since you're writing, I'm assuming death did not occur. /s
Also, Cat, you and John make a great writing team!
Absolutly beautiful, Cat. Looking forward to the next instalment!
