It already was! Kind of a letdown, though, spectacle-wise. So many people in Asheville voted early that THIS is what our polling place looked like a half-hour ago. It took about five minutes to vote. (Oh, bummer: I thought I'd be able to add a photo I took of our polling place this morning showing it ABSOLUTELY empty. So . . . now you'll just have to imagine it. Picture . . . a place alongside the outside of an elementary school that looks like a place where a whole lot of people would be standing in line, but aren't.)

I can see it. When my daughter was able to vote, she wanted the whole experience, too, and yeah, same... empty.

Congratulations to Cat and all the best while in line. Will be waiting to read about your respective experiences of today in a future newsletter. When Kamala wins, we all have a lot of work to do to “shore” up the damage that’s been done over the years and that trump exposed and made worse. One more thing, we can’t forget that Project 2025 or whatever it has been renamed now, is just one election away from being implemented. We cannot afford to forget that.

Have a good day you two 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸.
